Verminator and All -
Thanks for your response. Very timely, and the inclusion of your phone numberleaves EVERYONE on this board with NO EXCUSE for not doing personal due diligence. Note: Larry also included a multitude of methods to contact him in a previous post. The underlying message that I get from you, Larry and Joe is, call for info, bail if you do not like what you hear.
Perhaps for the benefit of newbies to the thread and for a refresher to the oldies, it might be good to remind ourselves of some key points dealing with TMM's business/technology development:
1) Not too long ago, several of us volunteered to review the TruDef product. Tom/Joe/Larry have stated publically their personal thanks for doing so. Some of the suggestions we gave cannot be implemented overnight. For example, for each new feature (ex: TMM incorporates MMX (tm) technolgy into TruDef) there is a learning curve to understand the technology, subsequent software design/code reviews, implementation, debug, and test/verification/code archival. Clearly, if TMM chose to implement even one feature we have suggested, then we are as much at fault for the TruDef delay as TMM is.
2) TruDef is a very important element in the TMM business plan. Many have noted that if the first release is inadequate (even down to the graphics design on the package) we all lose big time. Conversely, if the product is successful, Tom takes home his first paycheck in a year, his family eats, TMM gets working capital and we all enjoy the rise in stock value.
3) Tom has stated that the compression center is expected to be a high margin revenue machine. The new office has the room, etc. Just conjecture, but at one time Tom did say he had an excellent relationship with Sony. Sony owns lots of pictures. That studio alone could be worth revenue $$$ up the wazzu (IMHO).
4) Lorne has come on - his role, and how he benefits TMM are somewhat of a mystery - worst case, he is offloading tasks from everyone else, but I bet that his time is being used for more productive purposes.
5)Tom has stated that there are several irons in the fire; the results of these efforts will be announced with timeliness.
Just a suggestion, just go back several posts on the FTEL thread and read all the negativity (where are the products, alliances, news releases, etc. and because the stock, at ~$1.75 a share, dipped $0.05 in one day!! - that's more than TMMI gross value (ggg). Interestingly enough, I did not see one negative post when the stock hit $10.50 this week.
What is needed is time, patience and material support for the company like we all gave it not too long ago. See some of Carol's recent posts for example. Try not to rip each other on this thread - what's the point? Instead, use your time for diligence, and by all means pass on what you can to the rest of us. This way we keep interruptions to Tom and his development team to a low roar.
"For now we see through a glass darkly..."
Cheers,
