Reagan sent sophisticated US arms to terrorists in the 80's in exchange for arms for the illegal Contra war and release of hostages. He did exactly what he pledged he would never do. Reagan was not the stainless hero you think. He made all kinds of blunders and had major ethical lapses. Last week, one of the top rightwing generals and Fox New's #1 military expert stated maybe we ought to start funding terrorists groups in the Middle East. In fact, we already are and have been for a long time. The Bin Ladens and Bushes are very close friends.
