Obviously, you're talking about the oil companies. But wouldn't they also profit from having those restrictions removed? If they could pump more oil on this side of the Atlantic, and not have to share the wealth with their Middle Eastern partners, they'd just make more money on it.

Allen - only a very few companies would profit from less restrictions. That is not the question though. Who now profits from the restrictions? That is the question.

I submit that the oil companies are profitting from the restrictions. If the age old mantra of follow the money is done - who is profitting from the restrictions?

I think those who support restrctions should clearly state who their actions are benefitting. I will name one - Bearcatbob - my energy stocks are doing great. Who else is profitting?

Look at the offshore drillers - do they care - Petrobras is monopolizing the deep rigs. This whole thing is simply crazy.

Someone must be profitting!
