Where I am right now the Latin influence is Indian and Spanish and much different than the Cuban Spanish African. The peublo does not speak much Spanish but an Indian dialect no one understands. The limited education the kids get stops in about grade six but they are all eager to learn. They all know how to use my laptop and some the GPS. The only technology is a battery operated radio. 50 miles up the Sierra Madres they have cold cerveza and one electric street light. That 50 miles is two hours by burro and another 8 by jeep.
