Excellent article by InfoWeek on the status of SGI. Additionally everyone should also check out the related interview with SGI exec. VP of worldwide operations on the very same page as the InfoWeek article or @ techweb.cmp.com The article simply shows that SGI is ahead of the game but just simply never gets the recognition for it as it has one of the lowest visability brand names of all hi-tech. Too many IT depts. often familiarize themselves with HP, CSCO, IBM, etc. As I've stated before, in order for SGI to become one of the major players in the server market, Ed must raise the notch of SGI's brand-name recognition.
