American companies should manufacture where tax incentives and costs and business sense "dictate."

I don't know anyone who blames the Indians or Chinese. Of course, it's partly our tax policies.

McCain's proposal to reduce the corporate tax rate to 25% (if I caught the full presentation) is unrealistic. 30% is doable. If that works, it can be lowered again in a later session.

That reminds me of Hillary's attempt at "healthcare" in 1993. Trying to do too much, within the context of two houses of Congress that have to pass it, is a recipe for failure.

Our tax rates have to be looked at compared to the incentives in China and other countries, where under 5% rates (for BIDU, for example) are common in a company's early years. 25% wouldn't be close to the under 5% rates and could just be a giveaway.
