There's no functional difference in the *snippet* with or without the "really."

When Ms. Obama's words are put in "context", her meaning is crystal clear and it is precisely the way the so called "snippet" struck the legions of non-Obama supporters.

It appears one must be an Obama supporter in order to filter out the underlying anger and overarching naivete of that pair.

Their supporters practically twist themselves into pretzels in their effort to shield the Obamas from themselves....
