A rumor out there is that Venezuela and Iran are both using super tankers to hoard oil and keep it off the world markets contributing to the higher prices. Do you honestly believe with all the bellicose rhetoric Bush has pointed in both countries direction that they would pass up an opportunity to stick it to him? The thing is its getting to the point where OPEC actually makes more money by reducing supply. eg. 3.8 million barrels @ $125 actually puts more dough in Iran's pockets than 4 million barrels @ $105. The thing is I could pass this off as political posturing as the higher price of gas doesn't really affect me personally much at all but the thing to worry about is the trade imbalance the high cost of oil causes. Its a totally ignored National Security issue that is clear and present.
