MM, One thing this tells me is that Gore is a hypocrite when it comes to his own personal energy usage. Do as I say not as I do. But the reason Bush's residence was designed the way it was was to save water(which is scarce in that part of texas) and money(from the citation you posted the link to). It is nice that he was able to use these technologies in his own house. It would have been nice if could have championed alternate sources of energy for others as well. My gut tells me that it is because of his friendship with all the oil people but that is because I have a negative impression of Bush to begin with. Neal
