I jumped on that revolution very early on. As you might guess, the minute I saw it I knew what it was. Read: The electric cool aid acid test by Thomas Wolf. Very good. I ran a bit with some of those folks. I even took a purple Olowsley, after watching many peopel first. I was so curious I decided to take a chance. I was majoring in psychology and had read LSD unlocked the unconscience mind and had an amazing mind trip. Never did hallucinate. But I only did it twice more and then never again or any other hard drugs.

I have often thought I should write a book about it as I saw the whole thing from a birds eye view and from the very beginning. Understand the entire world was totally straight. We really were freaks to most of the country.

Every friend I had shunned me. I never flinched or questioned my decision for even a second. There was one table in the cafeteria at the university I was attending for the "hippies".

The best poetic justice was that " our women" spent the night with us, while the frat rats had to masturbate-lol.

It was a magical time. I actually was at the Montery festival where Jimmy Hendricks played and many other amazing musicans. And to top it off I got stoned and took a bath with a flamming hot woman with a broken leg-lol. We had to wrap it in plastic-lol. The leg-lol.

There was a reason the headquarters was (Berkeley) and more on the west coast than east coast. Less tradition allowed us leftcoasters more freedom to "THINK and act". And the kids at Berkeley were the smartest college kids in the country.

The civil rights movment and anti war protesting was very much a part of our culture at the time, but it was mainly just a revolution about being free to manifest ones destiny.

Kind existentialism-lol.

I read the Lord of the rings trilogy during that time stoned on pot and listening to charley Musselwhite's southside band-lol.

I had so much fun and saw so many things. The rest of my life in politics, closet hippies would help each other as we moved onto our carrers.

In the 70's we hippies actually took over the house of representatives (we were called ad hoc democrats)in our state and we created things like womens commissions and other humanitarian programs and wwe legalized pot-lol.

It is still legal up here although the right keeps trying to make ita crime our supreme court keeps trumping them-lol.
