Oh contraire.....IP switching, ATM and the whole theory of voice over data networks has the telecom equipment companies pissing in their pants......the integration of voice and data networks, increased data traffic, and the threat of losing their bread and butter (digital phone switches) has them scared....... I do agree though that MRVC becomes a better candidate with a really strong fiber biz......As for cisco, 3COM and Bay taking them over, I highly doubt it.....Too much overlap in products.......Perhaps an ASND/MRVC relationship with Newbridge Networks thrown into it would be a hell of a company.....
