I think she wasn't really talking about pride in the physical country or pride our past, or in the Constitution and our legal system (or pride in the USA PATRIOT Act); she was talking about pride in the people of the country who she had seen come together in her husband's campaign.

In January they had raised $32 million, the most ever raised by a candidate who’s still in a Primary race. $28 million of that was raised online.

And the vast numbers the public didn't know about yet. February would total $55 million as hundreds of thousands of people donated online. The total number is now over 1,500,000.

[April numbers will be out by tomorrow.]

Pride in the knowledge she had about February fundraising that wouldn't be released for weeks. The Obama campaign was developing into a financial powerhouse, not just in money, but in the number of contributors.

That was one of the additional levels of pride, IMO.
