Charisma just makes me nervous.

I can relate to that. I, too, am wary of charismatic people. (That wariness served me well in my life when it came to men. <g>)

But it would be a mistake to infer the converse of that, which would be that the inarticulate are trustworthy or have hidden gravitas.
