Hello Shalom..

It is nice to see a thread that discusses things more esoteric than the ups and downs of the market. I have long been interested in things philosophic and, I guess you would call it religious. Although I don't really know what is religious. I guess it depends on where you were born on what religion you have.

I have been concerned with "belief" and those who profess it. I was involved in real estate for 15 years and the ran into two diferent families who informed me how religious they were. (they classified themselves as "born agains") Interestingly enough, of all the folks I worked with over the years, they were the only ones who out and out lied to me. Both of them tried to cheat me out of a commission, (The first succeeded as I chalked it up to experience.) I sued the other and won in a jury trial.

That's part of the reason I asked about where belief originates, as they impressed on me that they were "true believers" whatever that is.

If I understand you correctly, you say it originates within the soul. Now, I am a little vague on what a "soul" is. My understanding is that it is the kernel of life. Or, the life force within us. Is this your thought as well, basically it is yourself?

I appreciate your long response, but feel free to sort of stick to the essence as opposed to the rhetoric. Thanks for the help.

:o)

P.S. Is Shalom Hepzibah a man's or woman's name. I have heard the name Hepzibah as a first name of a woman once.
