I had an elderly aunt who would come to our farm in the spring and pick the untouched dandilions in the field. Then make hot bacon dressing .....allowing it to cool a big of course.... to put over it. Delicious. Unless she had her rhubarb and dandilion she did not feel cleansed.. Those old times were the best. Truly. Making home made ice cream in a churn out on the lawn filled with any fruit that was on the trees.... Peaches were my favorite. We had a huge orchard with all kinds of fruit and grapes from which we made wine too.
