Yeah, that was a brilliant move. What happened to Britain once they declared war, punk? If you knew your history, you would know they started losing badly. Why is that, o brilliant one?

Let me enlighten you with then:

Czechoslovakia had an alliance with France - and also with Soviet Union. Than means, if attacked, terms of the alliance mean that France was obligated to go to war. Soviet Union would have as well, if France and Britain went to war.

Germany was not that strong, Czechoslovakia was not that weak. So instead of facing Germany when it was relatively weak, Munich agreement allowed Germany to gain strength.

Then America's understanding of events must be faulty. What we were taught is that in Oct, 1938 Germany told Britain if they could annex Sudentenland, they would leave the rest of Europe alone. Less than a year later they invaded Poland. Shortly thereafter they invaded Denmark, Norway, Belgium, the Netherlands, etc. If Germany was so weak, how come these nations fell like they were made of spun sugar?

By early 1940, most of France was under Hitler's thumb. Nearly ten countries in a little over a year? Sure doesn't sound like Germany was the proverbial 90 lb weakling.

Let me try math on you. If Germany was 100% (in terms of strength) and Czechoslovakia was 20%, the strength of Germany increased by 20% and strength of the allies declined by 20%.

I have some better math.....nearly 10 countries in a little over a year.

They would have died whether he appeased or not.

Like I said, millions would have been saved. The destruction Germany inflicted and the human toll was function of how strong Germany was at its peak. If Germany was not allowed to get as powerful, German armies would not have advanced as far, and would have been defeated a lot quicker.

Hindsight is 20/20.....no one at the time, including Neville Chamberlain, really thought Hitler was a mad man who wanted to take over the world. Appeasing Hitler was the action of a man caught between a rock and a hard place. Anyone who doesn't understand his position has had a too easy a life.
