Like California sardines bounced right back after their collapse. Oh, wait, that didn't happen. Actually, it is pretty rare for significant recovery to occur. The Peruvian anchoveta have done so, but it took more than a decade. In addition, it is a fast breeding fish unlike things like salmon and tuna.
