Everyone has faults and some worse than others. I have no doubt that Ted Kennedy wants to do good. Financial assistance programs can be helpful or they can lock generations into dependence. I give money away, but it's always my money and those I assist are not drawn into a cycle. Government can provide longer term assistance, but no one should believe free money on a regular basis is any less addictive than heroin.
