Pretty much.

Honestly, it just isn't a big issue. There is no shortage of fish as far as I'm aware; I know we still get plenty of just about anything we want. Was in NOLA last week and ate fish all weekend, never noticed anyone being out of anything.

It more or less takes care of itself. If a species gets fished out to the point where there are not enough to profitably fish for it, then fisherman will stop fishing for it and move on to something else. Over time, whatever is fished out will repopulate. I think it works that way most of the time, but if a particular species doesn't return, then it isn't the end of the world..

There are lots of fish in the sea, so to speak.
