AAER to deliver wind turbine to the U.S. Marine Corps Logistics Base in Barstow, CaliforniaAAER INC AAE 5/21/2008 8:38:14 AMMONTREAL, May 21, 2008 (Canada NewsWire via COMTEX News Network) --
AAER Inc. (TSX-V : AAE) ("AAER" or the "Company"), Canada's only original equipment manufacturer of wind turbines of 1 megawatt ("MW") and more, announced today that it has signed an agreement for the delivery of one 1.5 MW wind turbine to the U.S. Marine Corps Logistics Base in Barstow, California. The A1500 is scheduled for delivery at the end of the fourth quarter of 2008.

"This is an important strategic sale for AAER as it gives us visibility on the West Coast of the U.S., a region with a long history of wind power generation that offers substantial commercial opportunities for the company" said Dave Gagnon, President and CEO of AAER. "We are also proud to be working in cooperation with Southern California Edison, the United States' leader in renewable energy." Southern California Edison is helping to manage the installation of the turbine.

AAER signed a turbine supply agreement (TSA) and a warranty, maintenance and service agreement (WMSA) with ACCO Engineering Services, the EPC contractor, for the implementation of the project. The WMSA will be assigned to the Marine Corps Logistics Base after commissioning. The A1500 wind turbine will supply a portion of the energy used by the base facilities.
