Actually bush in israel speech hurt mccain as much as obama. Bush actually equated the act of negotiations with appeasement. I believe that obama has been very imprecise with language about preconditions or preliminary work needed for meetings with ahmadijad but thats not appeasement. Chamberlain going to munich might have been futile but the act of going was not in and of itself appeasement. What chamberlain did in munich was appeasement for sure and obama would have to go to tehran and cede lebanon or something stupid like that for it to be a match.
