I used to be able to travel with just carry-on, even for vacations. I did that for convenience and speed. Then the gates got farther apart and my arms and legs weaker and I could no longer reliably make my connection so I started checking. Once DFW got that tram, I went back to carry-on, one small bag on wheels, although I don't mind giving them the fifteen bucks. Coach fares are too cheap already and I agree with unbundling the services for pricing purposes. I'm delighted that they stopped serving meals. I wish they'd quit serving beverages and get rid of those &$%@ carts.
