Well, I think the cities can take care of themselves. I don't see any issues in cities that relate to the principal roles of the federal government. That is, national defense, managing federal lands, infrastructure, and so forth. The welfare of the cities is a national problem. We are all in this together. There's a long list of ways central Texas small towns are dependent on NYC, just to drop in a random illustration. But since you simply state a position without offering a reason for it save your political theory of the watchman state, you clearly are not inviting a conversation.
