That story doesn't make enough sense to even be typical government nonsense. How would they know how much you bought in a week unless you had to go shopping once a week and only once a week? Some poor people wouldn't even have space to store several gallons of fresh milk, not in a tiny apartment with a tiny old fridge. Makes no sense.
