Promising Hillary an appointment on the SC would give the Republicans a wedge issue almost as much as her being the VP nominee. They would say, "Do you want a justice with the Clintons' morality on the bench? The specifics and rights or wrongs about Hillary and Bill in the past wouldn't matter, the slogan itself would be effective with the base, IMHO.
