$350 would seem high to me,

Do you really think it's reasonable to expect an airline to haul you across country and back for that? Do you think they can make money that way? It defies my imagination. In some cities you can't get a taxi to and from the airport for that.

I recently drove across country and back. It just doesn't "feel" right that the plane trip would be so cheap in comparison.

Pricing seems irrational sometimes. I just bought a new cell phone, an wonderful little device, for fifty bucks. Cost another thirty something for the car power cord. Rationally it would seem that the phone would cost ten or twenty times the cost of the cord.
