If Intel's server chips were that obsolete and far behind in technologically AMD should have gotten much greater penetration in the server market absent Intel's "creative marketing tools." Look how long it took Dell to adopt Opteron, they were way behind IBM, HP etc. And many of those corps only adopted Opteron in a small portion of their business lines.
