I understand that large cities are often ports of entry, so I can understand some dependencies. I don't see why those can't be managed separately from the demographic issues.

That is an unfair statement. I gave you my reasons for the importance of the Electoral College. You just don't like them. I didn't say anything about a watchman state. The Electoral College is important because it ensures that smaller states get a portion of the attention from national politicians.

You apparently want cities to call the shots. I don't.

Freedom in cities sucks. I stay away from them for that reason.
