Didn't I post a few weeks ago about shorting the airline stocks????

What a massacre. The good ole days of $200 round trips are gone. The industry as we know it is DOA

Airlines crashed today

UAUA (United Airlines) down 30% today to new record low 8.15 on 20 million shares. It traded at 50 last year.

AMR (American) lost 24% to 6.22 on MASSIVE volume, nearly 61 million shares. Last year, some misguided fools paid 40 for it.

CAL (Continental) dropped 13% to 14.20. At the beginning of 2007, it sold for 50.

DAL (Delta) dived 16% to 5.77, a new record low.

NWA (Northwest) down 17% to 6.37, also a new record low.
