The area is mostly just Moose and muskeg. I would hardly call it a pristine wilderness but even if it was exploitation would not damage it. It will be easy to calculate how much SUNCOR should be compensated it will be in the mega-billions. Maybe Al Gore can chip in a few bucks from his green fund.
