Michael, > Carter didnt appease while in office and has nothing to give away now. He's the architect of the nuclear deal with North Korea as well as the "deal with the devil" in Haiti. He has a long history of giving away concessions to avoid military conflict, or at least the kind that America would pursue. That's appeasement to me. Unless Carter passes away soon, I think he will play a strong role in a potential Obama administration. I don't see any hints that Obama is going to show backbone when it comes to dealing with foreign leaders. Talk is cheap. Tenchusatsu
