OK, I admit it. I bought TWO bags of rice at Costco, which I intend to eat in the next few months. Before people started hoarding rice, I started eating it last year because I recognized the health benefits. Now I am lucky if I can get what I need.

The man at the checkout stand said people were buying the limit (five bags) and sending it to their relatives overseas.

I don't think we are eating the world's food. We're eating what we grow and what we pay for. Everybody else is doing the same. Some people want us to pay for what they eat. That's not OK, unless it's our idea.
