I have read them all............they are wonderful and do recreate the times well. I especially remember the terrible torture that the Indians did to the white men during those times. The description made an impression in my mind. While very young I rode my bikes all over the area and pretended my friends and I were the early explorers crawling on rocks and overlooks and forging trails through the wooded areas and over logging roads.. Just recently I went abalone diving and it was those early childhood days that I had to relate back to inorder to climb over the rocks during low tide. Those memories came back to me tho they were from a time long ago ( too long ago ).
