Instead of wasting billions on US corn ethanol the government could probably have heavily subsidized the purchase of compact cars and or the purchase of SUV's. The average fuel efficiency for gasoline is well below what a typical honda V-6 can do. The SUV's could have been sent to Venezuela. I can drive around here all day seeing one person commuting in a vehicle getting 13 mpg.
