Recommendations for good food and wine are especially welcome. There's a Tuscan-style liver dish (with sage, I think) that I still remember vividly. Chianti is the wine of choice, they were all good. Be ready for crowds in Florence unless the weak dollar reduces the numbers. We were there in late October one year and it was hard to stop and enjoy the architecture because the herd would keep pushing you down the streets.
