Barclay, in addition Ed's responsibilities were R&D in nature, sort of like a Chief Engineer. Marc was the one running the company and setting the direction and tone. There were rumbles going back 5 or 6 months that Ed was not really happy with what was happening. I guess the rumbles were true and he took action. I hope they can recover from this and finally start to deliver on the LACC promise. With Marc's long time affiliation (or founder status) with ACII, this will have a major impact. I hope new management opens up a little with information instead of playing their cards so close to their vests.
