I think it is important to separate Obama from the uglier section of his supporters. He has not shown himself to be of the 'ilk' and I hope he won't. If he does, I might end up staying home in November as the sounds I hear from his 'more vocal supporters (not the vocal but those who go at hillary as that creature, such a sweet non-saying of the b-word) are people I would as soon not have in any sort of control in this country... seems to be too nasty an underbelly to it all. I have faith that Obama will prove to be a person who doesn't go in for that sort of thing.

And one reason a person has stayed in a race in the past is that the show of support for them shows where many in the party stand and what matters to them... and their candidate can carry that to convention as pull in setting the party's platform for the fall and the coming years. That's... democratic. I think. Maybe. There is no reason for the race to be shut down now or the basically 1/2 of the voters in the primaries to be ignored. Makes me wonder what the louder voices for her to drop out are worried about. If the confidence is so high... should be no worries.
