But I see no evidence that such is the case. The Administration seems to define winning as having a stable and secure democratic government in place, with violence reduced to some acceptable level (whatever that might be). I don't see how we're going to get to such a state through the use of force. Furthermore, I don't see why we should expect that a democratic Iraq wouldn't eventually look a lot like Iran does now. How does "Iraqi President Muqtada al Sadr" sound? - Allen
