**Off-topic** (JTS vs SYQT)

thevan, Yeah, I agree that JTS was optimistic with their statements in the past, but as you yourself pointed out, "They've gotten A LOT better on this count in that they're cautious with the big predictions." They listened to the concerns of their shareholders while Syquest on the other hand is seemingly oblivious and has not changed their program. This is only part of what leads me to my opinion that Syquest's statements are something more than just being "optimistic".

...and yeah, JTS has a done some additional financing, but Syquest's program is out-a-hand: about a year ago they had about 12 million shares issued outstanding. Today they have over 62 million shares issued and outstanding, they have about 120 million shares accounted for when you take preferred and warrant conversions into account, and because they have exceeded their authorized limit, they are currently seeking fast approval for 240 million shares.

...and what has Syquest done with the $159 million of additional financing they've received over the last 16 months? Syquest has had 8 consecutive quarterly losses totaling $207 million. It is also widely expected they will lose money in the about to be reported quarter (9) and will probably lose money again next quarter (10) too.

BTW, If I recall correctly, I think Syquest is on their 5th CFO in the last few years.

Syquest and JTS are simply worlds apart IMO.

Regards - Dale
