Carly was a nice, smart girl with a good vocabulary who could understand everything and talk, with authority about everything. Hurd is a rare combination of businessman and technologist who is has vision, but is practical and can execute better than Stalin. EDS is a perfect acquisition and the price is right. It will leap frog HP in world wide services, provide a new distribution system and even if that were not the case, Hurd will apply his reorganization and streamlining techniques to the new company and bump EDS' net revenue by a billion a year, which will drop directly to HP's bottom line.
