<< Earnings were not due until 10/27 the last time that I looked so you still have some time to buy those puts. >>

BUTS!!! Options expiration for October is this Friday. Even though I'll be buying "November" 15's today (if I can get them for $.50; that was the "bid" price the last I looked), stocks tend to get a little wacky around expirations.

<< I for one agree that nothing in any of Glenayre's press releases this quarter thus far has given me any great deal of confidence >>

The silence is deafening! If you look back at my old posts, I was a bull on GEMS at times. I was also holding GEMS, at $34 per share, when they pre-announced bad earnings and took the first leg of their dive to about $20. OUCH!!! That was definitely NOT a great ride!
Fortunately, I was able to eek out a small profit, instead of a loss, at that time, by playing the moves from $20 to $25+/- before it went SPLAT again.

Never-the-less, it was a greater ride up from single digits to $20.

This option play is strictly wagering a bet. Most option players lose.

Good luck.

Bob
