You must be reminded of the old Porfirian joke about Mexico's creation [Porfirio Diaz was a 19th-20th Century dictator.]

When God was making the world, he gave Mexico incredible beauty, terrific beaches, mountains, rain forests, beauty beyond belief, much like Brazil. He also let it have an enormous amount of natural resources, oil, gold, silver, and lots of each. Richness beyond measure in one country. Brazil doesn't come close despite being much bigger.

One of the angels, noting that God was going overboard in favoring one country over the others said "Aren't You going overboard, giving Mexico so much while other countries get so little?"

The response: "Don't worry, I am making things even by populating this bountiful country with......Mexicans/Brazilians."
