You fool. It is well documented that Iran's involvement in formulating plans for the jihad as well as funding it were of critical importance.

After bin Laden was rebuffed by the Saudis and he began working to establish a presence in Sudan, the Iranians were consulted at every turn and without their funding it would never have happened. Their funding was substantial and free-flowing. They headed the 19-member committee that ultimately made the decision to move forward with the jihad.

Maybe if you understood the history of bin Laden's relationships with these terrorist regimes you would have a better understanding of the importance of the Iraq war.
