You're correct, in my opinion, saying it only might get more competitive.

The way I see it, if, for example, 16% of people in Kentucky openly admit to being unwilling to ever vote for a black man, why would they care who's number two on the ticket? Why should the fact that Clinton was VP matter? I don't think it would, unless they believed, as some of them have also openly said they do, that no black president would survive long.

Are there any good black candidates for the VP slot?
