With the world looking for ways to save money, companies, governments, schools, etc. will look to technology to assist them. The client server model is inefficient as opposed to the central database model that ORCL started working on about 5 years ago.

I think the worse things get the more people will look at ORCL's approach to computing. I think they are the best positioned for a world that needs data in one place, that is accessable, and has a capacity to analyze it for you for better decision making.

ORCL will grow in a down market by gaining market/mind share and acquisitions. It is fairly priced at this time because the market is always right. I think it has the brightest future of any other IT company out there right now.

We will have to wait to see how SAAS develops but I will bet you if it takes off ORCL will develop or purchase the technology and be #1 in the segment.

ORCL is like a big utility that is growing every quarter with higher margins. Whats not to like about the company?
