the 'well' was her visiting the well of uncertainty about obama based upon not his positions, but the fact that he is new, different, unvetted

The potential horrors of his being "new, different, unvetted" only apply if he wins, not if he is assassinated, so I don't see how it applies. Besides, it's a valid political argument since Obama is ludicrously unqualified.

If she set any trap, it was not the trap of suggesting he would be assassinated. It was the trap of watching his camp go hysterical over a simple reference to the RFK assassination.

Don't you see that the more Camp Obama shrieks "how DARE you refer to RFK's assassination? Do you want Obama SHOT?" the more firmly they make Obama into the "race candidate" - which he's been doing plenty of himself. Long gone is the race-transcending unifier of February.

Any "race candidate" will lose. Big-time. The majority of the country is fed up with this grievance-mongering. They want to get past that, which is what they found attractive about Obama in the first place.
