Mary -

It's very clear that your interpretation is not the only one that could be put on her statements. It's clear from the fact that virtually everybody who has heard the remarks has put another interpretation on it. And that is not attributable solely to people being hostile to Hillary.

I she had said everything you said in the rest of the paragraph above, her meaning would have been clear. But I don't see how all that comes out of what she did say.
