We have all heard the pro's and con's of "Global Warming" but I would suggest that there is one area where not much attention is being paid.
The biggest pollutant on this earth.

HUMANS.

The population in 1980 stood at approx 4.5 billion people. The population in 2007 stands at 6.7 billion people.

For starters, take this increase of 2.2 Billion people and apply the following figures.

If the comfort level of temperature is 20 Deg C or 72 Deg F and the human body is 37 Deg C or 98.6 Deg F which is a difference of 17 Deg C or 26.6 Deg F.
Multiply this times the population and you have a world wide increase in temperature just from humans.
This may not sound like a lot but recall how many time you have gone into a convention hall or large meeting room which start off as being reasonably cool (they prepare for a large gathering by turning down the temp before hand) and by the time the place fills up in can be very warm.

Same thing.

Now we could say this is the short end of the problem of global warming, but there are other factors to add to the equation.

How many of those 2.2 Billion drive cars (heat generating devises), how many new houses that require heating and cooling?
How many modern equipment and appliances are required for each person (more energy consumption)?
How much additional work space is required for each person (requiring heating and cooling).
How much more electricity is required for each person (more heat generating equipment)?
How many more cattle to feed the increased population( more body heat added)?

The list goes on.

All of this is energy extracted from the earth and in turn producing heat generating devises.

How do you put the genie back in the bottle?

I took this model from a paper I did called "where has all the water gone" in which I show the total population times the average water content of a human being and that adds up a large
amount of water taken from the ground. Our largest resource of fresh water is walking around on two legs.
the equivalent of Lake Ontario, Lake Erie and 5 Lake St.Clairs.
That's not counting all water waling around on 4 legs which would probable equal the human content and then some.
