If you make it past 80, people who are moderately overweight live longer.

I lived next to Laguna Hills "Leisure World" for 40 years. There are no over-80 fat people there. They all die in their 70's.

I took a good look at my situation last year, and decided that to I reduce my weight 50 pounds and maintain it there would involve a reduction in my quality of life that I will not accept. I would rather enjoy the way I live now and possibly die sooner.
