Probably better not to label people.

I have never understood that position. You are way to smart to not recognize the human need to categorize and label everything around us. The problem only occurs when we use labels to be hurtful. It's a passive aggressive, seemingly civil, form of catcalling.

The problem is not in the labeling process, as essential part of human intelligence and communication, but in using labels as insults. It's the use as an insult, not the label. Insults hurt people, not labels.
